Heart of the Swarm Release Datum bekannt gegeben

HotS Kampagne
Das Erscheinungsdatum für den zweiten Teil der StarCraft 2 Trilogie wurde kürzlich durch Blizzard bekannt gegeben. Nach Wings of Liberty soll Heart of the Swarm am 12.03.2013 erscheinen. Damit liegen 2,5 Jahre zwischen dem ersten Teil, welcher sich um die Terraner drehte und der Fortsetzung, in der man die Geschicke um Kerrigan und die Zerg steuert. Der dritte Teil Legacy of the Void liegt noch in weiter Ferne und beinhaltet selbstverständlich die Protoss-Kampagne.

Heart of the Swarm Editionen

# Standard Edition – 39,99 Euro
# Digitale Deluxe Edition – 54,99 Euro
# Collector’s Edition – 69,99 Euro

Also mir persönlich reicht da die Standart Edition, diese kann jedoch auch noch nachträglich für 15 Euro auf die Digitale Deluxe Edition erweitert werden. Die exklusiven Zusatzinhalte sind ein neues Aussehen für Ultralisken im Mehrspieler-Modus (Torrasque), sechs Porträts und Decals, Berstling-Haustier für WoW, Knochenflügel und Bannersiegel für Diablo III. Die Collector’s Edition verfügt darüber hinaus noch über eine Blu-ray/DVD “Hinter den Kulissen”, den Soundtrack, ein Heart of the Swarm Artbook und ein Mauspad. Allerdings sind die Digitale Deluxe Edition, sowie die Collector’s Edition nur in berenzter Stückzahl vorhanden.

In der Singleplayer-Kampagne werden wir Sarah Kerrigan steuern dürfen. Auf die 20 Kampagnenmissionen darf man sich schon besonders freuen, wenn man mal an die wirklich sehr gelungene Kampagne aus Wings of Liberty zurückdenkt.

StarCraft 2 als bestes PC Spiel des Jahres ausgezeichnet

StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty erhielt zwei der begehrten VGA Auszeichnungen (Video Game Awards). Zum einen wurde StarCraft 2 als bestes PC Spiel des Jahres ausgezeichnet und erhielt zudem den Preis der besten Performance einer weiblichen Darstellerin für Tricia Helfer als Sarah Kerrigan.

Großer Sieger war dieses Jahr Red Dead Redemption. Das Wild-West-GTA für Xbox 360 und Playstation 3 wurde Spiel des Jahres und erhielt insgesamt vier Awards.
